Eric Clapton:
Mr. Slowhand himself, Eric Clapton is believed by many
to be one of the finest blues/rock guitarists ever to have lived. Well,
I wouldn't argue that for anything! He made some early appearances in the
Yardbirds, Blind Faith and in the power trio Cream (with Jack
Bruce and Ginger Baker) but it is his solo career that has by far brought
him the most recognition. I very highly recommend picking up his 4 CD set
"Crossroads" that spans the first chapter of his career from approximately
1964-1985. Beyond that, other wonderful works by him include Journeyman,
Unplugged (MTV) and many others to boot.
