A Longing of Love on a Cold Winter's Eve
The love of my life
In thoughts unabound
Taketh my mind this eve
So far away
And so near to my heart
A cruel jest is played upon me
As the fates sit back and laugh
But to rest safely in her arms
And to lay this night
In blissful slumber by her side
For this, I would give all
To touch her face,
To smell her raven tresses,
To peer lovingly into the depths of her soul
How can this love live hither
So far away
And so near to my heart
