Mauricio
Moon over Mauritius
How brightly do you shine
A platinum disc hanging on a slate of nightly grey
You gaze downward with a wisdom
Known only to the gods
What that you can see into
The darkest corners of my soul
And know that I am in love
Can you see my love this eve?
Does she wait from afar?
Damn you, that you see all and say naught
I am rooted as a tree and stand helpless
As you hover above
I bask in your saffron-coloured light
And shafts of moonglow ride the sea below
