Stevie Ray Vaughan:
Yet another soul that was wrenched from the grasp of millions all too soon, Stevie Ray Vaughan was quite simply the finest electric blues guitarist to ever come out of Texas (his brother Jimmy is no slouch, either). Stevie Ray and his band Double Trouble did a little of everything from a very intense and powerful cover of Stevie Wonder's "Superstition" to silly, bouncy little ditties such as "Gimme Back My Wig". After nearly twenty years of hard work to find his niche in the world as a respected artist, he was taken suddenly from us by a helicopter crash on August 27th, 1990.
